How FormOS works
Add a document once. FormOS reads it, saves every detail, and uses it to answer your questions and fill your forms.
Everything you can do
FormOS keeps your documents and the details on them in one place, and puts them to work. Here is all of it, in five groups.
Add
- Upload a photo or PDF in the app, or send it in WhatsApp.
- Any kind of document: IDs, marksheets, credit reports, bills, certificates, letters.
- You never pick a type. The AI works out what it is.
Understand
- An AI model reads each document once and saves what it is, who it is for, and every detail and table row.
- Numbers are checked before they are saved, so a misread Aadhaar or PAN is caught.
See and work with it
- ID cards show the last four digits. Other documents get a card with a key fact.
- Every document has a preview and a summary.
- View, download, send to WhatsApp, correct or delete any document.
Ask
- Ask on WhatsApp or in the app's assistant about marks, scores, dates, balances, anything you saved.
- Link your number, then add documents, get files back, rename and search by chat.
- Correct a detail in one line, like “it is 49 not 47”.
Check and fill
- The form analyzer shows how much of a form you can complete, and what is missing.
- The browser extension fills web forms, dropdowns and dates included.
- Paste a job description and FormOS checks it against your resume and every other document, in WhatsApp or on the Eligibility page.
- Check a scheme, scholarship or loan against your saved details.
Stay in control
- My data lists everything saved. Change or delete any of it, in the app or in WhatsApp.
- Sign in with a PIN and an authenticator, or Google or GitHub. See and sign out devices.
- Numbers stay masked until you confirm your PIN.
Add any document
There are two ways in, and both end the same way: the file goes straight to an AI model that can see it.
- From the app. Drag a photo or PDF into Documents. JPG, PNG or PDF, up to 10 MB.
- From WhatsApp. Send the photo or PDF to FormOS. Link your number first on the WhatsApp page; a code sent in WhatsApp confirms it is yours.
- No picking a type. You do not say what the document is. FormOS works it out, even for kinds it has never seen.
The model looks at the document itself, not at scanned text, so photos, stamps and tables are read the way they look.
What gets saved
Whatever the document is, FormOS writes down what it is and everything on it, as a structured record. This happens once, when you add it. After that nothing is read again: every question is answered from the saved record.
- Tables are saved row by row, so each subject, account or transaction is its own entry.
- Identity numbers are checked: an Aadhaar number must be a real one, a PAN must have the right shape.
- A one-line summary names the document, with ID numbers masked.

Your cards and previews
Your home screen turns the saved records into something you can recognise at a glance. ID cards show only the last four digits of a number.
- Aadhaar, PAN, passport and licence cards fill in by themselves when you add them.
- Every other kind of document gets its own card with a key fact.
- Recent documents and the Documents page show a picture of the file or a summary line.
- Open any document to see everything that was read from it.
Work with a document
Open any document on the Documents page. Everything you can do with it is in its menu.
- View or download the original file, after a PIN check.
- See the details read from it, and show the full values with your PIN.
- Correct a detail by hand if the AI got it wrong. It is fixed on your profile too.
- Send it to your WhatsApp after a PIN check, or delete it: the file and what was read from it go.
The original file, large, after a quick PIN check.
Ask on WhatsApp
Link your number once, then chat. Ask in plain words: FormOS finds the right document and answers from what it saved. It remembers what it just showed, so short follow-ups work.
Set it up on the WhatsApp page. It also has a preview of the same assistant, so you can try it in the app first. Only your linked number is ever answered.
- Ask about anything on your documents: marks, scores, dates, balances, names, addresses.
- ID numbers appear masked. Say full, confirm your PIN, and they show until you say lock or a short time passes.
- Correct a detail in one line, like “it is 49 not 47”. It changes everywhere it is saved.
- Send documents to save them, ask for a file back, check eligibility, or delete data. Anything sensitive asks for your PIN first.
Things to say in chat
There are no special commands to learn. These are the kinds of thing people say. Say help any time to see the list in the chat.
Your documents: 1. CIBIL Credit Report 2. HSC Marksheet 3. PAN Card
The assistant in the app
The AI assistant page is the same assistant, inside the app. Ask in your own words; it answers from your saved documents and details.
- It adds up, compares and works with dates, so questions like “how many subjects above 80” get an answer, not a list.
- If the answer is not in your documents it says so, and tells you which document would have it.
- Questions that are not about your documents, like how to apply for something, get a general answer.
Check a form first
Before you start a long application, upload the form, or list its fields, and see how much of it FormOS can complete from what you saved.
- A match percentage, and a field-by-field list of what can be filled and what is missing.
- What to do next: which document to add to fill the rest.
- Full nameCan fill
- Date of birthCan fill
- Father's nameCan fill
- AddressCan fill
- Marks obtainedCan fill
- Income certificate numberMissing
- Caste certificate numberMissing
of this form can be completed from what you have saved.
Fill forms for you
The browser extension fills long forms from your saved details. It works in Chrome, Edge, Brave and Arc.
- It reads the form and works out what each field asks for, even when the wording differs from your documents.
- It picks from dropdowns and option lists, and sets dates in the format the form expects.
- Only the names of the form's fields go to FormOS's AI, never your details. The extension types your details in itself.
- Date of birth, phone, email, Aadhaar and PAN are filled only after a PIN check.
- Fields that are not yours to fill, like a parent's details or a captcha, are left for you.
After you sign in, the Browser extension page has the download and the install steps.
Check a job against your resume
Found a job you might fit? Paste the job description, in WhatsApp or on the Eligibility page. FormOS checks it against your resume and every other document you added, and tells you where you stand.
- It starts with your resume. A job is judged against a resume, so FormOS looks for one first. If there is none, it asks you to add it, on the portal or by sending it in WhatsApp, and it keeps your job for thirty minutes. In WhatsApp, the moment your resume is read, it checks that job for you without being asked again. On the portal, add the resume and check again.
- The resume is read in full. Every job with its dates and what you did, each qualification with its marks, your skills by group, projects and certifications.
- It works things out, it does not guess. Experience is added up from your job dates (Present means today). Skills are matched against your skills list, your jobs and your projects. Degrees and marks are compared with your resume and marksheets, age with your ID, location with your address.
- Every point names its source, like “12 years of experience (Resume: Infosys 08/2014 to Present)”. Anything it cannot find is listed as something to confirm, never assumed.
- You get a clear answer: a match score, what you meet, what is missing, and what to do about it. Prefer to skip the resume? Choose Check without a resume on the page, or say it in WhatsApp.
- Experience...
- Skills...
- Education...
- Age and place...
- Still missing...
The more you have added (marksheets, certificates, other resumes), the better the check. Nothing is checked from the job alone.
Schemes, loans and scholarships
Paste the rules for a government scheme, scholarship or loan. FormOS compares them with your saved details and documents. It works in the app and in WhatsApp.
- You get a match score, what matches, and what to fix.
- It judges only from what is saved. Anything it does not know is listed as something to confirm, never assumed.
- Age 18 to 25
- Resident of Maharashtra
- At least 60 percent in HSC
- Family income below 8 lakh

Manage your data
Everything FormOS has saved about you is on one page, My data. Nothing is hidden and nothing is stuck.
- Values are masked until you confirm your PIN.
- Change a detail and it changes on your profile and on every document that holds it.
- Delete one detail, what was read from one document, all your saved details, or everything.
- Each deletion says what will go and what will stay before it happens. The same works from WhatsApp.

Privacy and control
You decide what FormOS keeps. Here is how your information is handled, in plain words.
What the AI sees
An AI model reads each document when you add it, and answers your questions from your saved record. Aadhaar, PAN, passport and licence numbers are masked in what it is shown when it answers.
Your PIN
Full numbers, changes to ID numbers, file downloads and deletions need a recent PIN check. Your PIN is never sent to the AI. In WhatsApp, delete the PIN message afterwards.
Delete any time
Remove any detail, or any document, in the app or in WhatsApp. Deleting a document deletes its file too.
FormOS staff
Staff can manage accounts, but they cannot see your documents, your saved details or your messages.
The full details are in the Privacy Policy and the Terms of Service.
Start with one document
- Create your account and set your PIN.
- Add a document in the app, or send it in WhatsApp.
- Check the cards on your home screen.
- Link WhatsApp from the WhatsApp page and ask a question.
- Install the extension and fill a form.
Common questions
Which documents work?
Any photo or PDF up to 10 MB: ID cards, marksheets, credit reports, bills, certificates, statements, letters. If FormOS cannot tell exactly what a document is, it still saves everything it can read and gives it the closest name.
What if something was read wrong?
Open My data and change it. The fix applies to your profile and to every document that holds that detail. In WhatsApp, say it in one line, for example "it is 49 not 47".
Do I need a resume to check a job?
Yes, because a job is judged against your work history, skills and education. If you have not added one, FormOS asks for it first. You can skip it with Check without a resume, but the answer is then based only on your other documents.
Does the assistant make things up?
No. It answers only from the records saved from your documents, and tells you when it cannot find something, naming the kind of document that would have it.
Can I get a document back?
Yes. Download it from Documents, or ask for it in WhatsApp and confirm with your PIN.
How do I delete my data?
Use My data to delete one detail, what was read from one document, all your saved details, or everything. In WhatsApp say "delete my phone number" or "delete everything" and confirm with your PIN. Deleting a document also deletes its file.
What about my older encrypted documents?
The older encrypted mode (Security V2) has been retired, because an encrypted document cannot be read. If you still have some, Settings has a step that moves them to standard storage.
